Winter Field Day is open to everyone!

We have a wonderful day planned with Good Food, and Good Radio. Come for the door prizes, stay for the fun. And see the frequency’s posted below. We’ll be on FM & C4FM simplex. Remember theirs testing at 9a at the same location.
Thanks to KN6PUR we will WFD at McSweeny Park. Charlie KN6SOG is donating fresh tortillas and Carne Asada and AI6ZW is doing the cooking. KE6CED is bringing his 150′ end fed antenna and poles. KN6SOJ will be there with his Hustler antenna. I’ll be running FT8 on HF and System Fusion via pi-star. We’ll also be testing at 9AM so come early and get tested for your FCC licence or upgrade. Then stay and take in some radio fun. That’s right folk we’ll put a mic in one hand and a taco in the other, but maybe not at the same time. We’ll also have ARES & LDARC information available and people there to help you get involved locally. I hope to see a lot of you there to represent and help grow our local radio community.
Similar to the ARRL’s Field Day, we’ll be using non-commercial power sources and operating from a remote location, why’ll making satellite, HF & Digital contacts. We won’t be contesting but we will use frequencies on all bands and any mode to transmit and log the contact successfully. Contact totals will be posted here after the event.
And of course the LDARC repeater will be monitored, but is a bit far for HT’s
(also at the site 433.200 C4FM Freedom will be in public mode) FCC rules and conduct apply.
