There Will Be Testing At Rick’s House

Our after testing workshop will be antenna analyzers. I will be demonstrating the NANO VNA.
If you have a analyzer you like, please bring it by and show us why you like it. Really the key here is to have a analyzer and to use it regularly. Come on by and we’ll show you why they are so useful and important to have and use.
If you have a question or something we can help with please stop by. And as always we can also help with digital radio and hotspot questions and training. if you need help with programming, configuring or hardware questions we can help with that as well.
Testing is generally concluded around 9:30 – 10:00. That’s when we begin our workshop.
Tonight during roll call we have 2 questions for you:
1. We are building a roster for our LDARC special operating event.
The event will be August 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2026. We have requested K6L for our special operating call. QSO’s will be made using all modes and will be much like any ordinary QSO ie: exchange of call, signal strength and quality. QSO’s are followed up with a Special Event QSL card. That card will have a QR code linking them to our website and a special event page on the k6ldf website. There stations will learn about our club namesake and our club. You will be operating from your QTH. Additionally you will be provided with a information script if you want to provide the QSO station with more event info. This is a great opportunity to have fun doing what you love and share information about Lee DeForest Amateur Radio Club.
2. The second question concerns our Christmas Dinner & Award Event.
We are currently pursuing options including J&M restaurant as well as other restaurants in our area. We are also looking into a catered options at various venues including the Colonial Country Club as well as other Sites.
So… The question is : Would you be interested in a catered option where we serve ourselves and possibly help in kitchen as well. Or would you prefer coming for dinner and comradery without any club volunteers required.
