Bands and Modes 3-28,29-23

For our Fourth Tuesday of the month Wildcard we will QSY to 40 meters. After our 10M net tonight we will go to 40M, 7.238 Mhz LSB. We haven’t done 40 meters in a while. That’s 7.238 LSB after our 10M net at 28.360 USB. I hope to hear you tonight on HF.

Tomorrow, is our fifth Wednesday of the month, digital only after hours. We will be on 6M 50.625 Mhz C4FM at 20:00hrs right after the Digital Only Net. Now, I know many of you don’t have HF C4FM capability, however it does have some special capabilities. C4FM was designed to be used on 2meters. Now while FM barley works on 10 meters, on 6 meters FM really shines! And on the 991a you can do C4FM at 100 watts instead of 50. You can also engage the preamps on 6 meters as well. This allowed Bob and I to communicate even when we took different freeways home and when 2 meters was not working. I think it may be the best you can do for local simplex. Remember , during and after our nets, myself and maybe a few others generally are monitoring the Hemet Hangout & KE6JGM repeater. Please remember to back out of wires x on your radio, before you key up on the hangout, to keep the link working.
