Roster Announcement 3-3-26

Announcement by KN6RBP

It’s the first Tuesday of the month. That means it’s 10 meters tonight on the Eagle net.
Join us at 28.360mhz. N6DMP will be tonight’s NCS. This frequency is within the Technician area for 10m SSB. Hope to hear you tonight.

KE6JGM has stepped down from the LDARC Board. This is due in part to his inability to attend our club meetings in person. This was Bob’s decision alone and we appreciate everything he does for our club.

As outlined in our club constitution, it is the responsibility of the LDARC Board to fill the vacancy within 2 months. The board will fill this position at our March Board Meeting. We are asking members for comments or recommendations from the general membership. This will help us make the best decision for our membership. Make your comments at roll call or our March Club Meeting.

Next Monday March 9th, we will have 2 zoom meetings. The first will be from 6-7pm and is for Christmas Dinner Planning. The second is from 7-8pm and is for our Special Event Planning. Links will be provided on the club calendar and the club home page prior to the meetings.

Once again that’s Christmas Dinner Planning from 6-7pm and Special event planning from 7-8PM Monday March 9th.

Man made or natural disasters of big enough scope can overwhelm our normal lines of communication. Land lines, cell systems and the internet may be gone or unreliable. It may take days or weeks to bring in the infrastructure necessary to restore communications.  This is where ARES can provide vital communications resources for the responders and the public.
Every licensed amateur, regardless of membership in ARRL® or any other local or national organization, is eligible to apply for membership in ARES

Our hobby is based on the desire to communicate, and the use of technology to do so. Why not put that to good use by serving your community in times of need.
To apply for ARES® membership please go to ARESDV website.

You could make a difference, when it REALLY matters.

Give the gift of your time & communication skill. Become a ARES member today.

There’s always a lot going on at the Lee DeForest Amateur Radio Club!
