Our Spring Breakfast Fundraiser is October 3rd at 9:30am at the Colonial Country Club! Tickets are $12.00 for adults and $5.00 kids. Show support for our club and our great certified food handlers. We make the best fundraiser breakfast in town. Real, Buttermilk pancakes made from scratch along with toppings or your choice of syrup, along with bacon, sausage, hash browns and scrambled eggs. Also Juice or coffee. It’s a great breakfast where the ham is only implied but always the main ingredient.
Bring your friends and family. It’s a great way to share ham radio with someone new.
Reach out to N6DMP or KN6PUR to buy advance tickets this really helps us acquire the right amount of supplies. We have a goal of net 0 food cost. If you are interested donating funds to cover food cost please reach out to N6DMP.
If you plan to attend and know how many tickets you will be purchasing it would be helpful if you let us know tonight. It helps to know a approximate count when we purchase food.
We have been invited by the Scouts of America to participate in the C I E C Adventure Weekend sponsored by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Rodeo!
We will be there September 26th at Glen Hellen Park. Scouts of America are providing a 15 by 15 popup and plenty of space for a HF station.
Members are encouraged to come out to this popular event! We are expecting lots of visitors, so if you can make it out there, we would love to have you stop by and show your support for the Scouts of America & Lee DeForest Amateur Radio Club!
We hope this will be the beginning of a mutually beneficial relationship with the Scouts of America to help us inform youth about radio.
This should be a high traffic great opportunity to share our hobby and its benefits.
Later in October we will be conducting 2-2hr session scout badge radio class. We are hoping this will be the beginning of a long term relationship helping us bring youth into the hobby.
Please let me know during roll call if you are interested in volunteering. Remember visiting is also encouraged. This should be a high traffic great exposer opportunity to share our hobby and its benefits.
